As lawyers we employ metaphors. Here we lift the veil on what the pictures in our site mean.
Fiat justicia et ruat caelum. Let Justice be done though the heavens may fall. (This may not be the best moto for mediation)
This is the Lincoln Memorial. Lincoln famously assembled a cabinet consisting of rivals. We are not rivals but believe in the diversity of opinion and we certainly enjoy arguing.
Geese fly in formation and they take it in turn to lead. Deference does not fly with us. (Lawyers have been compared to other animals, but we will leave that for now.)
This (on the right) is a triskele. It is an ancient Celtic and Greek symbol consisting of three Archimedian spirals. The Archimedes screw inspired the modern propeller. The symbol is also found as three legs in Naples and the Isle of Man. It has many meanings but the most relevant to us is constant movement and progress. For us it in addition it also symbolises the fact that we span the continent of Europe.
We can stand to look at ourselves in the mirror.
(As the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection, the image is of someone looking over their shoulder, but that is something we do also.)
